Day 17: The person I've been friends with the longest

So I think this was like junior year in high school because that's when I gave Chelle the scissors and we had fun with my hair. We were friends since the first time she got me into trouble on the bus. Sometime around second grade our parents split us up until seventh grade when we both ended up in Superman's class. We were inseparable for the next six years and we are still friends now. Even though she decided to move to New York :(

Day 16: Someone I want to switch lives with for a day

This is Anita Blake. Not strictly a real person, but Laurell K. Hamilton created her so now she is real. She is a necromancer and vampire executioner. She also gets to date, live with, and sleep with all of the most beautiful men her world. But the reason I would want to be her is because she can say what she thinks and she pretty much expects people to be able to deal with the truth. She tries not to lie unless it is absolutely necessary. She also kicks the asses of the people who are forever underestimating her. ...but the hot guys thing is a plus too :)

I could never imagine not having Ian. He brought joy into my life ans showed me that I could like kids again. I have so many hopes and dreams for him.

I absolutely hate any insect that buzzes and stings. If they showed up this big I would probably faint.

This is my little cutie - my nephew Ian. He will be two years old at the end of May. But he already looks like a little man.

Sorry folks...no picture. I have actually never been to a concert so it would be difficult to pick the best one I ever went to.

Day 8: A picture that has the biggest impact on me

This image, and thousands like it, show the balance between light and dark. I think that within all of us there is the potential for both good and evil. And just as there is a balance between night and day, we have to find a balance within ourselves that allows us to be the person that we want to be.

Day 7: A picture that makes me laugh

I think this one is pretty self explanatory :)

Day 6: Who I used to be

In this picture I think I'm around seven. I'm the one laying across my Uncle Alan's lap. This is right before my life sort of changed. Before I hit puberty and the depression kicked in. Before the people I loved started disappearing and hurting me. I'm told that when I was this age I was confident, outgoing, fearless, friendly, full of energy and force to be reckoned with. A little bit later, I withdrew into myself, had trouble making friends, I actually stopped talking altogether for awhile, and not long ago I lost the wonderful man in this picture.

Day 5: My true self

This one was tough. But this picture is called "The Dreamer". I see myself as someone who is always dreaming of something more, something I want to do or be, believing that people are good and honest. But this girl is trapped in a room possibly surrounded by the sea like the princesses in the fairy tales. I am trapped in reality, and I often do not like this reality. That is why I dream.

Day 4: A memory I want to go back to

This was a group I was part of in high school called Sisters In Sight. I think sometimes that this group is what got me through all the stuff that went on in my life during that time. They gave me confidence, let me be creative, and taught me how to be myself. I would love to spend another day performing with them at the coffee shop.

Day 3: One thing I want to do before I die

I didn't always want to have children. For a long time I thought I would be happy to just be alone and do what I wanted to do. But I would really like a family someday...a small one. And I think I would be an ok mom.

Day 2: The place I want to visit most

I have always wanted to go to Italy someday. The history there is amazing. The most powerful civilization in history hung out in Italy. It's the seat of the most powerful religion on the planet. And the scenery is beautiful.

Day 1: A recent photo and 15 facts

1) My middle name is Ray, a short version of Rachel for my memere.

2) I don't like tuna fish, beans of the baked or kidney variety, or cooked peas.

3) I love chocolate but not things that are chocolate flavored like chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream.

4) I played basketball until eighth grade when a coach tried to make it not fun. It is one of the few things I ever quit.

5) I have a very irrational fear of any buzzing insect with a stinger. I may stop breathing when I hear it.

6) I am very allergic to the plant that turns into green or black tea. One swallow and I spend the rest of the day on the throne.

7) I want to be an author someday and I have already started a young adult novel, completed a children's book, and written many poems.

8) I have three cats when I agreed to take one because I have a soft spot for animals that are not loved and I couldn't leave the other two behind.

9) I moved about fifteen times before I finished high school and I never changed schools.

10) Although I grew up in the County, I have never picked potatoes, camped, hunted, or fished.

11) I love peanut butter :)

12) I now have eight tattoos. They are all hide-able, and all have a story to tell.

13) In elementary school I got into so much trouble on the bus that I had my own seat right behind the driver for six years.

14) The worst part of my job is looking at a kid and knowing that I can't help them.

15) My favorite color is some mixture of blue and green that often comes out teal-ish.
